Hisn al-Muslim 162

إِنَّ للَّهِ مَا أَخَذَ، وَلَهُ مَا أَعْطَى، وَكُلُّ شَيْءٍ عِنْدَهُ بِأَجَلٍ مُسَمَّى... فَلْتَصْبِرْ وَلْتَحْتَسِبْ
Instruction
وَإِنْ قَالَ: …
And if he says:
أَعْظَمَ اللَّهُ أَجْرَكَ، وَأَحْسَنَ عَزَاءَكَ، وَغَفَرَ لِمَيِّتِكَ
… فَحَسَنٌ
… then that is good.
Transliteration
Inna li-llāhi mā akhadha, walahu mā aʿṭā, wakullu shayʾin ʿindahu bi-ajalin musammā... faltaṣbir waltaḥtasib
And if he says:
Aʿẓama llāhu ajraka, wa aḥsana ʿazāʾaka, wa ghafara li-mayyitik
Translation
Verily to Allah, belongs what He took and to Him belongs what He gave, and everything with Him has an appointed time…and then he ordered for her to be patient and hope for Allah’s reward.
