Invocations before eating (1 of 2)

OD-178 Hisn al-Muslim 178 2 parts
Instruction
إِذَا أَكَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ طَعَاماً فَلْيَقُلْ

When you are about to eat, you should say:

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ
Instruction
فَإِنْ نَسِيَ فِي أَوَّلِهِ فَلْيَقُلْ

and if you forget to say it before starting, then you should say when you remember:

بسمِ اللَّهِ فِي أَوَّلِهِ وَآخِرِهِ
Transliteration

Bismi llāh

and if you forget to say it before starting, then you should say when you remember:

Bismi llāhi fī awwalihi wa ākhirih

Translation

Bismil-lah.

and if you forget to say it before starting, then you should say when you remember:

In the name of Allah in it’s beginning and end.
