Instruction

It is also from the Sunnah to recite Aayat ul-Kursee after each prayer: [Soorah al-Baqarah, Aayah 255]

﴿اللَّهُ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ لاَ تَأْخُذُهُ سِنَةٌ وَلاَ نَوْمٌ لَّهُ مَا فِي السَّمَوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الأَرْضِ مَن ذَا الَّذِي يَشْفَعُ عِنْدَهُ إِلاَّ بِإِذْنِهِ يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ وَلاَ يُحِيطُونَ بِشَيْءٍ مِّنْ عِلْمِهِ إِلاَّ بِمَا شَاءَ وَسِعَ كُرْسِيُّهُ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ وَلاَ يَؤُودُهُ حِفْظُهُمَا وَهُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيمُ﴾

Transliteration

Allāhu lā ilāha illā huwa l-ḥayyu l-qayyūmu lā taʾkhudhuhu sinatun walā nawmun llahu mā fī as-samawāti wamā fī l-ʾarḍi man dhā alladhī yashfaʿu ʿindahu illā bi-idhnihi yaʿlamu mā bayna aydīhim wamā khalfahum walā yuḥīṭūna bi-shayʾin mmin ʿilmihi illā bimā shāʾa wasiʿa kursiyyuhu as-samawāti wa-l-ʾarḍa walā yaʾūduhu ḥifẓuhumā wahuwa l-ʿaliyyu l-ʿaẓīm

Translation

Allah—there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of all. Neither drowsiness nor sleep overtakes Him. Everything in the heavens and on the earth belongs to Him. Who can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what lies before people and what lies beyond them, while they grasp nothing of His knowledge except what He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and preserving them does not tire Him. He is the Most High, the Magnificent.
